Methodology
Every claim on pixai-ai.io traces back to a named, dated source. Where sources disagree, that disagreement is called out in the text rather than smoothed over. Where a claim would require running a real subscription or generating volume this site does not, the claim is left out or credited to the source that did.
How the site is put together
Each page starts with a fact matrix, not a keyword list. The matrix is a table of every claim on the page next to the source that supports it. If a row cannot be filled with a named, dated source, the claim is either removed or reworded to describe only what a named source described. That process is run by Melissa Blake, who writes the pages. It is not delegated to a template.
Source tiers
Primary sources. PixAI's own docs at docs.pixai.art, the payment FAQ at pixai.art/articles/en/payment-faq, the Content Guidelines on support.pixai.art, and dated news posts at pixai.art/en/news. Their App Store and Google Play listings count too, with the publisher-name check baked in. First-party press channels count when the announcement is dated: the Korea Newswire post on Tsubaki.2 on March 13 2026, and the Edit Pro post on May 8 2026, both appeared in the Tracxn news feed. Company profile data comes from Forbes Business Council for co-founder Rissa Cao's bio, and from Crunchbase for the funding round summary.
Second-tier sources. Named third-party reviews with dates count: a May 23 2026 Scribe review of PixAI, a note.com pricing walkthrough dated May 27 2026 written by an actual paying user in Japanese, and Google Play reviews when they name a reproducible issue that Mewtant staff have replied to on the record. Trustpilot's billing-complaint thread counts as a pattern, not as a court finding. Uptime data comes from independent monitors that publish raw response times, not aggregated status pages.
What does not count. Aggregator listings on toolify-style sites, alternative-to pages, and clone SEO articles. If a fact only lives on a third-party aggregator, it does not go into a claim; it goes on a to-check list until a primary or named-second-tier source confirms.
How each type of claim is checked
Prices. The docs page and the payment FAQ are pulled on the same day, and the current pricing page is cross-checked. Where docs and marketing blog disagree on tier names (docs still say Starter, Hobbyist and Pro in places; the current blog uses Starter, Plus and Premium) both wordings appear in the text, with the disagreement stated openly. The starting figure of $7.99 for Starter comes from the PixAI blog dated May 2 2026 and is cross-checked against the current pricing page before publish.
App identity. Confirmed by opening both store pages and reading the publisher line: METANOMALY PTE. LTD. on iOS with App Store listing id6474528911, Mewtant Inc. on Android with package io.mewtant.pixaiart. Sideload mirrors are cross-checked against the Mewtant signing certificate on APKMirror, not against a filename match.
Content rules. Pulled from the official Content Guidelines on support.pixai.art, cross-checked against dated news posts at pixai.art/en/news (in particular the one that specifies the mobile app will not show Sensitive content). A Mewtant developer response on the App Store in May 2026 confirms the mobile filter is stricter than the web filter.
Downtime. Independent uptime pings that publish raw response times, cross-checked against r/PixAI's outage-report cadence. Aggregated status-page claims are not used as primary evidence.
Billing complaints. Attributed to a specific May 23 2026 Scribe review that described a Trustpilot pattern of $200-plus annual renewals users say they did not select. Attribution is named in-line, not folded into "users report."
Company facts. Co-founder Rissa Cao's role, the Singapore-Menlo Park-Tokyo office footprint, and the 10-million-creator scale all come from her Forbes Business Council profile. Funding round detail comes from Crunchbase. Launch date (December 26 2022) comes from the PixAI ProductHunt page as referenced by the Metronome pricing index.
What pixai-ai.io does not do
Nobody here ran a paid subscription for a year to confirm renewal behavior. That claim is credited to the Scribe review that did. Nobody trained a LoRA from scratch to time it; the 15-to-30-image range and the training-time figure come from the PixAI blog. Where a section would require a claim that could not be sourced, the section is either left out or labelled with attribution. If something on the site reads as a first-person testing result without a named attribution, that is a defect and belongs on the corrections channel.
Change monitoring
PixAI ships model releases roughly every month and has rewritten its content policy in public at least three times since 2024. The home page is on a weekly re-review cadence; every legal page (privacy, terms, § 2257) is re-reviewed on release, then quarterly. Every article carries a dateModified field in its JSON-LD, and a visible "Last updated" line at the foot of the content block. When a claim moves, both fields update on the same publish.
Corrections process
Corrections come in on LinkedIn. Intake: the correction is acknowledged within one business day. Verification: the source that would support the change is checked, and if the correction stands, the page is updated within three business days of the original message. Notice: substantive changes get a dated line at the foot of the page describing what changed. Silent rewrites of dated numbers are not allowed. If the Starter price moves off $7.99, both figures sit in the text until the source citation catches up.
